Bisley Methodist Church, High Street, is delighted to be the venue for two forthcoming "Bisley Churches Together"
events, involving All Saints Anglican Church, St Mary and All Angels Roman Catholic Church and Bisley Methodist Church.
Advent Service on Saturday 29th November at 5.30pm-6pm
The traditional Advent Wreath is made during a short service of readings, hymns and prayers. Suitable for all the family and a most beautiful way to begin the Christmas season.
Christmas Workshop Day for Children age 6-13years
A day packed full of activities, including a drumming session with the talented drummer Daniel Owusu (that'll wake up the neighbours!), crafts, cooking and music-making with Bisley's own Boy Band. Not to be missed. Places are limited so a booking must be made. Booking Forms have gone out via Blue Coat School and are also available in the churches and village shop. FREE
Our own Christmas Event is back by popular demand - a Christmas Concert featuring Bernard Leach on organ and the beautiful voice of soprano Jean Kelly, as well as other guests. Tickets are £5 each from the church on Saturday mornings from 10.30am. Mulled berry juice and mincepies afterwards !
Everyone is most warmly invited to come on Saturdays for a cup or two of John's excellent fresh filter coffee (no instant here) and rather nice biscuits - just 60p. On Sundays, our service is at 10.30am - almost two handfuls of us meet to worship and you will be made most welcome. The Methodist Church is a delightful building - and WARM on these chilly winter days.
The Methodist Church will be closed from Monday 21st December to Friday 10th January 2009 inclusive.
