I was reading that Pat Smythe's mother, Monica, was killed near a war memorial while driving her jeep from Miserden to Stroud train station in January, 1952.

The article only mentioned that it was a war memorial 'on the Stroud road'. I've never seen a war memorial in Stroud itself. I've been trying to think just where it would have happened. Do you know the location? I was thinking that maybe her drive would have carried her through Bisley since there doesn't seem to be any direct road from Miserden to Stroud.
