Quite by chance I am checking the mss of a History of Througham before it goes for publication. William Turner married Elizabeth Hayward at All Saints Church Bisley on 14 September 1779. The Turners were landowners in Througham (just north of Bisley) and the Haywards associated with the cloth industry. Nathaniel Rogers also owned land in Bisley and Samuel Clissold was from another prominent land owning family in Througham. He may have been the Turner's tenant famer at Lower Througham Farm from 1781 to 1785.

The discovery of this indenture is remarkable and it woud be interesting to have more details.
