How's it going? Have you helped any one out with any family stuff?
I am off to London next week to have a look at the London Metropolitan Archives. I have traced back on all fronts as far as the records allow but I am stuck on my family name of Mitchell. Out of ten, I have nine matches to a family on the 1861 census. I lack that last bit of evidence to confirm that this is my family. The problem is they appear to have changed their Christian names and this has thrown things out. I am going there to look at the records for St. Pancras workhouse. With a bit of luck I may findthe missing piece of evidence.
