I'm so sorry Garth - I know absolutely nothing about the Davis family. I have only recently discovered that my 3xgt aunt married a Thomas Davis and that is all I know at present.

Did you know that it is possible to search the 1851 Bisley Census on line? I can't recall the _link_ - I found it by using the search engine - I think it comes under Cotswold Census. It's quite interesting.

I'll have a look for you and see whether I can find anything.
