I am trying to trace any information about my great-grandfather Samuel Gardiner/Gardner of Bisley, born about 1856-57. He was living with a married woman, Selina (nee Cox), who went by Samuel's name. Her husband was Daniel Young. Samuel and Selina had four children - Kate, Charles, Emily and Alice. I do know that Charles was born in Swindon, Wiltshire. Samuel's occupation on Charles' birth certificate is general labourer.

In the 1891 census they are living in Castleford, Yorks area.But in the 1901 census, Selina (marked as "wife") is living in Scarcliffe, Derbyshire, with her children, but Samuel is not listed.

I have no other information on Samuel or Selina, so any news would be most appreciated.
