My Grandfather, William Joseph Smith, was married to Alice Harrison Tyler in 1884 in Australia. Her father was Jonathon Tyler and he was born in 1828 in Bisley Gloucestershire. Jonathon's father was Matthew Tyler 1804-1865 and his mother was Mary Ann Bartlett. This family and all of their children were sent to New South Wales, Australia in 1837, when the wool industry in Bisley went bad.

They took up farming in Braidwood, New South Wales in 1838 and the farm is still in the family's hands today.
