I have checked my tree and seem to also have William as Dinah's father. Some of my info is from a fellow researcher who had some of the Gardiner family researched by a historian so we believe these people to be correct. Do you have access to Genes Reunited as you and anybody else researching this family name can gladly view my tree from there and see what you think.

JOHN MY GGGG GRAND FATHER C1773 AND POSS MARY. ICANT FIND ANY RECORDS ON JOHN OTHER THAN HIS MARRAGE AND DEATH.MARRIED IN 1791 AT STROUD,DIED AT STROUD 1851 SAID HE WAS 78 AND HE SAID HE WAS BORN IN SHEEOPCOMBE.FAMILY SEEMS TO BE IN BISLEY PAINSWICK 1600'SON. WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL FOR ANY HELP I CAN GET.
