I have reason to believe that I am a descendant of the Stratford family in Bisley. I am fairly new to ancestry, but I am fortunate in that my grandfather knew a fair amount about his lineage back into the available census. I've followed that family back over a couple of generations and found a Julius Jones who, according to the census was from Chalford. However, further investigation suggests that he was christened in Bisley in 1808. His parents were John Jones and Sarah Stratford, they married in Bisley in 1793. Sarah Stratford was also born in Bisley, around 1772. Having seen that Stratford seems to be a name local to Bisley, I wondered if anybody knows anything about this Sarah Stratford? Perhaps parents' names? Anything would be very gratefully welcomed.

I have traced my family tree back on the Jones side to my 4x Great grandfather Abraham Jones (born in Bisley in 1812) his parents were John Jones (born 1768 in Bisley) and Sarah Stratford (born 1772 Bisley) I believe they married in 1793. That is as far as I have got though. If you find any more info please could you let me know. I will add any new info here also.
