Turner/ Hayward marriage 1779 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hello, My name is Joan Quigley and I live in Stoneham , Massachusetts. In going through some old papers in our historical society we came across a beautifully written on parchment tripart indenture from Bisley in 1779. It involves a marriage between a William Turner and Elizabeth Hayward. It also mentions a Nathaniel Rogers and Samuel Clissold as being involved. It's very difficult to read because of the repetitious legal jargon. We were wondering if this came into our possession from one of the descendants of those involved or if someone simply purchased it at some point at an antiquarian fair and gave it to the society. Do you have any information on the Turner/Hayward marriage? It would be nice if we could find a connection somehow. Thanks, Joan
